Ron Holland Shines in Big Summer League Performance

Ron Holland II delivered the kind of performance the Pistons were hoping to see this summer, scoring 28 points with 11 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 steals on an efficient 8-of-12 shooting (including 4-of-5 from three). His aggressive scoring and disruptive defense stood out, helping Detroit to a decisive win and showcasing the upside that made him a coveted rookie.

For Holland, this summer is a critical audition to carve out a rotation spot for the 2025–26 season. With Tobias Harris entrenched as the starter at power forward, Holland is competing to secure the primary backup role — a spot that would give him meaningful minutes behind a veteran while continuing to develop his all-around game.
