Warriors’ Richard and Toohey Lead Balanced Attack; Grizzlies’ Wings Impress Despite Loss

The Golden State Warriors posted a convincing Summer League win, fueled by the efficient play of W. Richard and the relentless effort of A. Toohey.

Richard was lights-out in his 23 minutes, scoring 12 points on 62.5% shooting and knocking down 2-of-4 from deep. He also added two rebounds, an assist, and two steals — a steady presence on both ends. Toohey, meanwhile, filled the stat sheet despite a rough shooting night (1-of-7). The big man grabbed four rebounds, dished an assist, blocked two shots, and scored four points, showing his defensive value and hustle.

On the Memphis side, the wings carried the scoring load. G.G. Jackson poured in 13 points with 8 rebounds and 6 assists, playing a well-rounded game and looking comfortable as a secondary playmaker. Cam Spencer was hot from outside, hitting 3 threes on his way to a team-high 23 points on 60% shooting, adding 2 assists and a steal. Jaylen Wells chipped in 11 points, knocking down 3 triples himself.

While the Warriors’ depth and balance prevailed, Memphis showcased flashes from their young scorers that bode well for their development heading into the season.

Scout’s Take

For dynasty managers, Cam Spencer’s shooting and versatility make him an intriguing deep-league stash, while G.G. Jackson continues to show upside as a multi-category contributor.

On the Warriors’ side, Richard’s efficiency and Toohey’s defensive chops suggest potential specialist roles that could translate to deeper formats.
