Summer League Standouts: Murray-Boyles, Walter, Martin Shine for Raptors; Holmes Fights Inside

The Toronto Raptors picked up a solid Summer League win over the Denver Nuggets, with several young players flashing upside and showing why they could factor into the team’s plans. Meanwhile, Daron Holmes II put together a gritty performance for Denver despite the loss.

Collin Murray-Boyles – All-Around Impact

Rookie forward Collin Murray-Boyles continues to impress with his versatility and efficiency. In 24 minutes, he scored 10 points on 3-5 shooting (1-2 from deep), added 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and a block, while playing under control. His ability to contribute in multiple areas makes him a name to watch in deep dynasty leagues.


Ja’Kobe Walter – Offensive Engine

Walter led the Raptors’ offense with confidence, pouring in a team-high 26 points on 8-16 shooting, including 4-11 from three. He added 6-7 free throws and showed his scoring arsenal while also grabbing 4 rebounds and collecting 7 steals. His aggressive style suggests Toronto could lean on him for offensive production early.


Alijah Martin – Energy Off the Bench

Alijah Martin made the most of his 8 minutes, scoring 3 points and adding a rebound and an assist. While the box score wasn’t gaudy, Martin’s hustle and willingness to take shots when open showed glimpses of a potential depth piece with room to grow.

Daron Holmes II – Double-Digit Boards

For Denver, forward Daron Holmes II battled hard in the paint, finishing with 10 points and 11 rebounds in 29 minutes. Although his shooting was just 3-8 from the floor, he stretched the defense by hitting two threes and played with grit on the glass. Holmes’ rebounding and defensive motor continue to stand out as his offensive game develops.


The Scout’s Take

In dynasty basketball formats, Ja’Kobe Walter is looking like a high-upside scorer who could pay off quickly, while Collin Murray-Boyles is quietly carving out a multi-category profile worth stashing. Holmes remains more of a long-term project but could develop into a steady source of rebounds and defensive stats.
