LaJohntay Wester Heating Up Post-Rookie Camp

Receiving some post–rookie camp hype, Lajohntay Wester has consistently appeared among the top 10 most-added players on Sleeper every day for the past week.

Wester played his college ball at Colorado, where he totaled 108 receptions for 1,168 yards and 8 touchdowns in 2023, showcasing reliable hands, quickness in space, and strong return ability. He followed it up with 74 receptions for 931 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2024.

It was initially reported Wester would assume return duties - which already made him an immediate stash in the deepest of leagues. But in recent weeks, his name has been highlighted repeatedly across fantasy outlets as a sleeper stash, and he’s now even being claimed off waivers in some 12-team leagues.

Dynasty Notes

  • Wester is, realistically, at best the WR5 on the Ravens depth chart behind Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman, and DeAndre Hopkins (a clear top three), with rookie Devontez Walker appearing to have the inside track on WR4 over Tylan Wallace, who flashed in a limited role last season.
  • Wester’s appeal lies in the fact that he’s a free rookie with a strong chance at making the gameday roster from Week 1 on a potentially prolific Baltimore offense.

In dynasty formats, Wester is worth a stash for managers with deep benches looking for low-cost upside in a high-powered passing game.
