Kings Beat Suns Behind Carter, Jones, and Clifford

Sacramento controlled the pace to top Phoenix in Summer League action, thanks to efficient shooting and strong contributions from their young core.

Devin Carter led the way with 17 points on 58% shooting, adding playmaking and defensive pressure in the backcourt.

Isaac Jones anchored the paint, finishing with 11 points and 8 rebounds on 62% shooting.

Nique Clifford was nearly perfect, scoring 19 points on 7‑of‑8 shooting and knocking down all three of his three‑pointers.

For Phoenix, Koby Brea struggled, going 1‑for‑9 from the field with just 2 points.

Khaman Maluach added 8 points and 5 rebounds but couldn’t find a rhythm offensively.

Ryan Dunn was a bright spot, posting 18 points on 6‑of‑8 shooting and adding his usual defensive presence.

 Scout’s Take

Sacramento’s wings and guards are showing poise and efficiency in Summer League, with Clifford and Carter emerging as clear standouts. Phoenix still needs more from Brea and Maluach, though Dunn continues to make a case with his two‑way impact.
